Indian cricket team player KL Rahul reached Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple with his parents on Phalgun Shukla Paksha Ekadashi. Before the start of IPL, he had darshan of Baba Mahakal and watched Bhasma Aarti sitting in Nandi Hall. After completion of Bhasma Aarti, he reached the doorstep of the sanctum sanctorum, bowed his head and prayed to Baba Mahakal.
Pandit Ashish Pujari, priest of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, said that
Jalabhishek of Baba Mahakal was performed by KL Rahul and family. Flowers were offered and blessings were also taken by bowing the head at the doorstep of Baba Mahakal. During this time he was also chanting
Shiva mantras.
