Today, on the ninth date of Vaishakh Shukla Paksha, during the early morning Bhasma Aarti in Shri Mahakaleshwar temple, as soon as the doors of the temple opened at four o'clock, Pandey priest worshiped the idols of God installed in the sanctum. Jalabhishek and worship of Bhagwan Mahakal was done with Panchamrit.
The special thing about today's decoration was that Baba Mahakal was decorated in the form of Ardhanarishwar in Bhasma Aarti on the Navami Tithi of Vaishakh Shukla Paksha. One was decorated in the form of Bhagwan Shiva and the other in the form of Mother Parvati with garlands of grapes and hair. After adornment, the Jyotirlinga of Baba Mahakal was covered with a cloth and ashes were also offered. During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal.
