In Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple today, on the Ekam Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha, during the Bhasma Aarti early on Friday, all the idols of Gods installed in the sanctum sanctorum were worshiped as soon as the doors of the temple opened at 4 o'clock. The special thing about today's makeup was that on the coincidence of Ekam Tithi and Friday, Baba Mahakal was decorated with Rudraksh, Makhana and flower garland along with mawa and dry fruits in Bhasma Aarti. Jalabhishek of Baba Mahakal was done with Panchamrit and fruit juice. After Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was made to wear a new crown and head garland.
During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal. The entire temple complex echoed with the praise of Baba Mahakal.
