In the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple today, on the Ashtami Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha, all the idols of Gods installed in the sanctum sanctorum were worshiped during Bhasma Aarti in the early hours of Friday. Jalabhishek of Baba Mahakal was done with Panchamrit and fruit juice. After Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was made to wear a new crown and head rosary.
The special thing was that on the coincidence of Ashtami Tithi and Friday, special decoration of Baba Mahakal was done in Bhasma Aarti. A trident was made on the head of Baba Shiva and a garland of Tulsi and Mogra was offered to him. During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal.
5 wheelchairs were donated to Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple by Pawan Kumar Joshi, who came from Bikaner, Rajasthan. It is known that the temple management committee provides free darshan facilities to the disabled and elderly people.
