Shri Rameshwara Temple is the group of six temples with the name of all Shri Dashrath sons and both Shri Ram sons. The temple got the name Rameshwara as it was established by Bhagwan Ram for Prabhu Shiva.
This temple is a very old temple in Bhubaneswar and known as the Mausi Maa(ମାଉସୀ ମା ଦେଉଳ) temple of Lingaraj (Aunt of Prabhu Lingaraj). It is located from a two km distance from the
Lingaraj Mandir. A beautiful water pond is attached to this temple. Bhagwan Shiv's favorite flower
Naag Phool (Snake Flower) which is very rare is also available in the temple premises, named
Naag Keshar tree attached to Mausima Kund.
The most important festival celebrated in the temple is Maha Shivaratri, Makar Sankranti, Kartika Purnima and Diwali. Traditionally, Prabhu Lingaraja arrives at Rameshwar temple on a large chariot (Rath), also known as Rukuna Rath and stays for four days during Ashokashtami, which falls on a day before to Rama Navami in Chaitra month.
