Mumbai`s Gramdevi Maa Mumba Devi is the patron Devi of the citizens here, who protects them from the sea and other different problems. Even, the name of Mumbai has also become famous after the name of Devi Mumba.
Initially Sri Mumba Devi Temple was built in the place away from the present situation. The present form of the temple is built on the land donated by Shri Pandu Seth. Everyone living and coming to Mumbai must-visit Mata, Maa being the Devi of Mumba Nagar, is the guardian goddess of those living here.
Mata’s silver bahan’s are changed daily in the temple. Nandi on Monday, Elephant on Tuesday, Cock on Wednesday, Garuda on Thursday, Hans on Friday, Elephant on Saturday, Leo on Sunday in this way Mata get decorated every day.
मुंबई की ग्रामदेवी माँ मुंबा देवी यहाँ के नागरिकों की संरक्षक देवी है, जो इन्हें समुद्र से तथा अन्य रूप में आने वाली हर परेशानी से सुरक्षित रखतीं हैं। यहाँ तक कि, मुंबई का नाम भी देवी मुंबा के नाम पर ही प्रसिद्ध हुआ है। Information
