Jadun Rajput's
Kuldevi Raj Rajshwari Shri Kaila Maharani's Sidhpeeth,
Shri Kaila Devi mandir is situated in Rajasthan's karauli city. The very ancient Deity of
Shri Chamunda Mata is installed in the temple's garbhagriha with Sri Kaila Maiya, which seems to be twins of each other.
According to Skanda Puran, Sri Kaila Devi is a form of Maha Yogini Mahamaya Devi, who is known as Kaila Devi in Kali Yug. The Deity of Maa Chamunda Ji was established in the temple's garbhagriha in 1723 by Maharaja Gopal Singh.
Kaila Devi Temple being the Kuldevi temple of many devotees, a large number of people come here for the
Mundan ceremony of their newborn. Therefore, for the proper convenience of the devotees, the temple has also arranged a shaving room.
An ancient Gupt Kaila Devi cave is located in the forest 4-5 km from the Kaila Devi temple, which is also believed to be the origin of the major river of Kailadevi,
Kalisil.
Every year in the
Navratri of Chaitra month, thousands of devotees travel on foot to seek the blessings of their mata. In these Chaitra Navratri, a huge annual mela (fair) is organized in the village of Kaila, which lasts for a period of up to 15 days. Apart from the Jadun Rajputs, people living in Karauli, Dhaulpur, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Gwalior and many parts of western Rajasthan worship Kaila Devi as their Kuldevi, so all these devotees also pay their respects to Kaila Maiya with great reverence these days. Come to see.
The major achievement of temple management is the
wheelchair entry facility for the devotees.
Annapurna canteen has been provided with reasonable prices adjacent to the temple premises.
Kaila Devi Temple is one of the auspicious parts of the Golden Triangle for Rajasthan tourist destinations. The time of darshan/aarti can be changed in eclipse, special reasons and mela, etc.
