Shri Mahaveer Jinalaya is the most famous spiritual, social and tourist destination of Firozabad district, which is also known as
Firozabad Jain Mandir in the local language. In the temple's prime prayer hall, Bhagwan Mahavir is installed in a beautiful white marble idol in Padmasana Mudra.
The Jain Temple was founded by the late Seth Chidamilal Jain. This Jain temple is under the Firozabad Extreme Region. The architecture of the temple is inspired by
Sri Digambar Jain Parasnath Temple, Belgachia Kolkata, West Bengal.
The last part of the temple has a statue of Sri Bahubali Maharaj installed on 2 May 1976, 37 feet high, south facing, made of black marble. The idol of Bhagwan Bahubali is given in detail below.
Great sadhu’s, yogis and gurus near the huge reservoirs located in the middle of the temple complex have the facility to rest during the rainy season(Varsha Yog). Along with this, a Dharamshala has also been arranged for the devotees and people for charitable work in the temple.
Due to the geographical location of the temple, the popularity of the surrounding place is also known as Jain Mandir Tirahe. Due to the bus stand near the temple, this place is one of the most crowded places of Firozabad.
