Dwarka Dham is considered to be one of the Seven Moksha Puri. There are four dhams, four Vaishnava pilgrims defined by Guru Shankaracharya. One of these four pilgrims, it is the Dwarkadhish temple of Dwarka in the west direction of India. The name Dwarkadhish means the king of Dwarka ie Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

The meaning of the name Dwarkadhish is king of dwarka i.e. Bhagwan shri krishna\". The main temple is established by 5 storey, 72 pillars which is also known as Jagat Mandir and Nij Mandir. According to tradition, this original temple was built by Vajrabha, the grandson of Shri Krishna, at the abode of Bhagwan Krishna on the banks of the river Gomti. However, please clarify that this Gomti river is not the Gomti river of North India which joins the Ganga river. There is a rule of raising and lowering the 52-yard flag on the top of the temple five times a day.

The flag on the top of the temple depicts the sun and the moon, which is a sign that the earth will be ruled by Shri Krishna as long as the sun and the moon exist. This present temple built in Chalukya style was built in the 15-16th century. The highest spire of the temple is 51.8 meters high. There are two entrances to the temple, the north entrance is through Moksha Dwar and the south entrance is through the main heaven, this gate leads to the Gomti river through the main market. The temple remains open from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the morning and 5:00 PM to 9.30 PM in the evening. Along with the temple being open, the doors of the main Dwarkadhish are closed from time to time due to various offerings and decorations. Therefore, before visiting the temple, do check the time table of the temple. Krishna Janmashtami, Rukmini Vivah and Tulsi Vivah are the major festivals of the temple.

Dwarka Dham or Sharda Math?
Dwarka, located in the west of India, is located in the state of Gujarat. The word *Dwar* The name of the city is derived from the Sanskrit language door, where the Gomti River merges into the Arabian Sea, where this confluence is located. Dwarka is considered to be the abode of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. It was settled by Bhagwan Shri Krishna in Dwapar Yuga after coming from his birthplace Mathura.

According to Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Dwarka has been named as Sharda Math. The adjective Tirtha or Ashram is placed behind the name of the Sanyasis who receive initiation under Sharda Math. The Mahavakya of this Math is Tattvamasi and the Veda that comes under it is Samaveda. The First Mathadhish of Sharda Math was Hastamalak ji (Prithvidhar). Hastamalak ji was one of the main four disciples of Adi Shankaracharya.
