Dandraua Dham is situated between village Dhamuri and Chirol of district Bhind, tehsil Mehgaon of Madhya Pradesh. This temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Hanuman. Bhagwan Hanuman is worshiped as a doctor in the temple. It is believed that Hanuman himself had come to this temple disguised as a doctor to treat one of his devotees. Today, people not only from the state but from all over the country come to this temple to get treatment for their serious diseases.

History and Architecture of Dandraua Dham
Here the idol of Hanuman ji is installed in a dancing posture. This is the only statue in the country in which Hanumanji is shown dancing. It is believed that 300 years ago this statue of Hanumanji was hidden by a Neem tree. When the tree was cut, this ancient idol of Hanumanji dressed as Gopi was found. Hanuman ji, who relieved the pain of the devotees, first came to be known as Dandraua. It is believed that the ghost of Hanuman ji is effective for diseases. In particular, diseases like boil, ulcer and cancer are also cured by circumambulating the temple five times. Here lakhs of devotees gather to see Doctor Hanuman with the hope of good health.

It is believed that a saint named Shivkumar Das was suffering from cancer for a long time. Hanuman ji had appeared in the temple in the guise of a doctor, in this form Hanuman ji had a stethoscope around his neck. After seeing this form of Bhagwan Hanuman, the sage became completely healthy. Since then this temple is famous by the name of Doctor Hanuman Temple.

Being a very ancient temple and being a proven place, it is the center of people's faith, any devotee who comes here for darshan does not have to return empty handed, his wish is definitely fulfilled. There is also Shri Ram Darbar here and statues of other gods and goddesses, but the special fame of this temple is due to Hanuman ji.

Dandraua Dham temple remains open throughout the week. Devotees can have darshan from 7 am to 7 pm.

Famous festivals of Dandraua Dham
Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami are the major festivals here. Every year during Budhwa Mangal, a huge fair is held here, in which lakhs of devotees participate. Tuesday is dedicated to Hanuman ji, hence every Tuesday many patients come to this temple to have darshan of Hanuman ji. Also, there is a belief associated with this temple that if a person who is not getting treatment anywhere, comes here and has darshan of Hanuman ji with true devotion, his problems get cured.

How to reach Dandraua Dham
Dandraua Dham is a well connected place to all major cities through road network. Hoshangabad Railway Station is the nearest railway station (45 kilometres) to Dandraua Dham. However, one can also come via Gwalior. The nearest airport to this area is Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal. From there a taxi can be booked to reach Dandraua Dham.
