In the year 1989, a committee was formed for the salvation of this temple and a huge temple was constructed here. The samadhi of Shyam Bhakta Baba Manohar Das ji is also situated in the temple. Why did Baba donate the head
As soon as he reached the battle, the soldiers got scared seeing the huge form of Baba. Shri Krishna asked the Pandavas to come only after knowing his introduction. Shri Krishna disguised as a Brahmin reached Barbarik and asked for a donation of his head. Barbarik said that I will donate head, but a Brahmin never asks for donation of head. Tell me the truth, who are you? When Shri Krishna appeared in his real form, he asked why did you do this? Then Shri Krishna said that for the success of this war, the sacrifice of some great sacrifice is needed. There are three heroic Mahabali on earth, me, Arjun and you are the third one, because you are from the Pandava clan. Your sacrifice for protection will always be remembered. Barbarik worshiped the gods and goddesses and after bowing down to the mother, separated the head from the torso in one attack and donated the head to Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna took the sheesh in his hand and placed it on a mound, irrigating it with amrit and making it immortal. The place where the head was kept is the holy place Chulkana Dham and today we address it by the name of ancient Siddha Shri Shyam Mandir Chulkana Dham.
