Ram Navami is considered as the incarnation day of Prabhu Ram. This festival falls on the first day of Hindu calendar, on the Navami day of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra and this festival is also celebrated as the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. Sri Ram's revelation took place in Abhijit Nakshatra at twelve in the afternoon.
Prabhu Shri Ram is considered as an ideal man in India, for this reason he is called Maryada Purushottam Shriram, and his highest administrative skill is known as Ram-Rajya.
On the day of Ram Navami, devotees take a dip in the holy river Saryu of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Purushottam Sri Ramchandra. All devotees organize bhajans, kirtans, Ramyana recitations, fasting, Sobha Yatra and Rath Yatra related to Prabhu Shri Ram, his wife Mata Sita, his younger brother Sri Lakshman and Shri Ram Bhakta Hanuman. It is believed that Shri Goswami Tulsidas Ji started the creation of Ram Charit Manas on this day.
