Padmanabha Dwadashi fast falls on Dwadashi on the next day of Papankusha Ekadashi. Padmanabha Dwadashi is celebrated on Dwadashi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. Padmanabha Dwadashi is a ritual to worship the Anant Padmanabha form of Bhagwan Vishnu.
In Chaturmas, Bhagwan Vishnu sleeps in Khirsagar and his resting state is called Padmanabha. Hence, this date is known as Papankusha Dwadashi. On this day Bhagwan Shree Hari takes Angadai to attain the awakening state and Padmasin Brahmi ji declares Omkar (ॐ) sound.
On this day, there is a ritual to worship Bhagwan Sri Hari with sandalwood and lotus in Padmanabha form. With special worship of Padmanabha Dwadashi, poor devotional rich and childless get salvation with child happiness.
