💰Mahalakshmi Vrat - महालक्ष्मी व्रत

❀ If you are observing Mahalakshmi Vrat, first of all wake up in the morning and take bath etc. and resolve to Vrat with water in your hand.

❀ Clean the temple and spread a red cloth on a post there. After this, install the idol of Devi Lakshmi at the post. Keep in mind that on this day the idol of Devi Lakshmi is worshiped on an elephant and hence install this idol.

❀ Also keep gold and silver coins at the place of worship. At the beginning of Mahalakshmi Vrat, there is a tradition of tying a thread with 16 knots.

❀ Then garland Devi Lakshmi with flowers and apply her tilak with vermillion. After this, offer sandalwood, abir, gulal, durva, red cotton, betel nut and coconut. During the puja, the threads should be kept 16 times each in the number of 16.

❀ In such a situation, on the last day of the Vrat, tie a red thread with 16 knots on your hand for worship in the evening. After this, light 16 desi ghee lamps in front of Devi Mahalakshmi and worship Devi Lakshmi duly. On the next day of Vrating, keep a thread with 16 knots in your safe. By keeping this thread with you, there is no shortage of wealth in your house.

❀ After this, light incense sticks and then worship the elephant.

❀ At the end, offer bhog and complete the puja by reciting Maa Lakshmi Katha and Aarti.

During Mahalakshmi Puja, keep in mind that whatever you are offering should be in the count of sixteen. Like 16 cloves, 16 cardamoms or 16 makeup ingredients etc. You can offer kumkum, batasha, conch, kamalgatta, makhana, rice and flowers to Devi Lakshmi.
