Anant Chaturdashi festival dedicated to Bhagwan Vishnu is celebrated on Chaturdashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Anant Chaturdashi festival has a very special significance in Hinduism and is also known as Anant Chaudas. Bhagwan Vishnu is duly worshiped on this day. Companion is offered to him an infinite string of 14 knots. Ganesh Visarjan is done on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.
Worship method of Anant Chaturdashi
❀ Clean the place of worship after taking a bath in the morning on Anant Chaturdashi.
❀ Install the Ashtadal lotus made of Kush in the Kalash, you can also install an idol or picture of Prabhu Vishnu.
❀ Prepare a thread of 14 knots by dipping it in vermilion, saffron and turmeric. Place the thread in front of the idol of Bhgwan Vishnu. Now worship the cotton and the idol of God with the Shodashopachar method.
❀After worship, chant this mantra Anant Sansara Mahasumdre Mrin Sambhadra Vasudev, Anantrupe Vinijayasva Hranantasutreya Namo Namaste After doing this the thread should be tied on their right wrist, women should tie it on their left wrist. This thread is also known as anant.
❀ In the end, distribute the offerings of worship and feed the Brahmins.
It is believed that on the day of Anant Chaturdashi worshiping Bhagwan Vishnu with proper puja vidhi, all the wishes come true.
