Why onion and garlic not used in worship and fasting? (पूजा और व्रत में क्यों नहीं किया जाता प्याज और लहसुन का इस्तेमाल?)

There are many beliefs prevalent in our Hindu religion, which we also follow. According to the scriptures, especially onion and garlic are not allowed to be offered to God. Knowing that onion-garlic is a mine of virtues, but even after this, onion-garlic is not used in any kind of food prepared during fasting.
There is also a legend behind it. Let us know what happened during the Samudra Manthan, due to which the use of garlic and onion is prohibited in worship and fasting.

❀ Onion-garlic is a mine of virtues, but when the amrit came out from the samudra manthan, it was a matter of the time of the samudra manthan. When the amrit came out from the samudra manthan, then there was a competition between the bhagwan’s and the rakshas to drink the amrit. Then Bhagwan Vishnu in the form of Mohini started distributing amrit by confusing the rakshasas for the purpose of feeding amrit to the deities.

❀ When two rakshas named Rahu and kethu suspected Mohini, they secretly disguised themself and sat in the row of deities. While distributing the amrit, even Bhagwan Vishnu could not recognize the rakshas and made them drink the amrit.

❀ But Surya and Chandradev immediately recognized that rakshas and told Bhagwan Vishnu, who was distributing amrit in the form of Mohini, about this trick of the rakshas. Bhagwan Vishnu beheaded that rakshas with the Sudarshan Chakra. As soon as the head was cut, a few drops of amrit along with blood fell from the mouth of the monster, from which onions and garlic originated.

❀ Being derived from amrit, onion and garlic are curative and life-saving. But due to the mixture of rakshasic blood, rakshasic qualities have been included in it. They increase excitement, anger, violence, unrest and sin. That's why onion-garlic is not used in fasting food or in God's bhog.

Garlic and onion are not consumed as they are believed to be born from rakshas. Onion and garlic are considered tamasic in nature and are said to awaken the sensual energy in the body.
