Why does Mahashivratri called Mahasiddhidatri? (महाशिवरात्रि को महासिद्धिदात्री क्यों कहा जाता है?)

The scriptures say that there are many types of fasts in the world, various pilgrimages, many types of sacrifices, various types of austerities and chanting, etc., can not equate to Mahashivaratri fast. Therefore, everyone should follow this fast for their own benefit.
The blessing of worshiping Mahashivaratri is considered to be the best during the Pradoshkal period. The end of Trayodashi Tithi and the beginning of Chaturdashi Tithi are their final period. Any date, war, constellation, yoga, Karan etc. and morning and evening sessions are called Pradoshakal. Although Shivaratri is celebrated on Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of every month, Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Falgun month is celebrated as Mahashivratri. Bhagwan Shiva is anointed on Mahashivaratri to please Bhagwan Shiva and for different wishes.

Know the spirituality behind fasting?
Mahashivaratri fast is extremely auspicious and divine. This leads to perpetual enjoyment and salvation. This Shivaratri fast is popularly known as Vratraj.

The people should observe this fast from morning till night till the night of Trayodashi. Worshiping Bhagwan Shankar should be done in the four hours of the night. Fasting Jagran Pooja by this method fasts the three virtuous deeds together and attains special compassion for Bhagwan Shiva.

This frees a person from the sins of birth. By enjoying happiness in this world, a person finally attains Shiva's age. Conducting a fast with faith in this method throughout life gives you the desired results by the grace of Bhagwan Shiva. Those who are unable to fast by this method can complete the fast by worshiping Bhagwan Shiva at the beginning of the night and at midnight.

Awakening the entire night in Shivaratri gives you great results. Paramdayalu Bhagwan Shankar is pleased and gives the desired wish.
