According to mythological beliefs, Kaal Bhairav is the fifth incarnation of Bhagwan Shiva. There is also a ritual to worship Maa Durga on this day. According to the Hindu calendar,
Kalashtami is celebrated every month on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha. On this day Bhagwan Kaal Bhairav who is the Rudra form of Bhagwan Shiva Shankar is worshipped. Kalbhairav is also called the Kotwal of Kashi.

❀ Kalashtami is an important day for the devotees of Bhagwan Shiva, wake up before sunrise and take an early bath.
❀ Perform a special puja for Kaal Bhairav and seek blessings and forgiveness for all your sins.
❀ You can also fast on this day to get prosperity, happiness and success in life.
Remedies to please Bhagwan Bhairav on Kalashtami:
❀ On the day of Kalashtami, light a lamp of mustard oil in front of the idol of Bhagwan Bhairav and recite
Srikalbhairavashtakam. Do this remedy daily with devotion till the wish is fulfilled.
❀ On the day of Kalashtami, offer 21 Bilva leaves to Shivling by writing 'Om Namah Shivaya' with sandalwood.
❀ Some people also believe in feeding the black dog which is believed to be the vehicle of Bhagwan Bhairav. You can feed them milk, curd and sweets. By doing this remedy, both Bhairav dev and Shani Dev are pleased.
❀ Donate food, clothes and money to Brahmins.
❀ Visit Kaal Bhairav continuously for 40 days from the day of Kalashtami. By doing this remedy, Bhairav dev will be pleased and your wishes will be fulfilled.
