Phalguna month is the last of the Hindu Panchang, followed by the Hindu New Year's beginning. Chaitra is the first month in the twelve months of Hindu Panchang, and Fagun or Falgun or Phalgun is the last.

In this month, pure ghee, mustard oil, seasonal fruits, grains, clothes, etc. should be donated to the needy according to their ability. By doing this, virtue is attained. Along with this, auspicious results are obtained by offering for the ancestors.
