Mahashivratri 2023: How to please Bholenath? (महा शिवरात्रि 2023: कैसे करें भोलेनाथ को प्रसन्न?)

Mahashivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. According to religious belief, the marriage of mata Parvati and bhagwan Shiva took place on this day. On this occasion, if you want to please bhagwan Shiva, then take care of some things and get the infinite blessings of Bhole Baba.
This year Maha Shivaratri falls on 18th February. There is an atmosphere of worship, yagna, vrat etc. on the day of Mahashivaratri all over India. People visit Shiva temples and offer various offerings to the Bhagwan. If you also want kripa of Bhagwan Shiva then offer bhog of his choice, all your wishes will be fulfilled.

Abhishek with milk
Worship Bhagwan Shiva by anointing him with milk. Pouring milk after pouring holy water nourishes the soul with goodness, compassion, noble thoughts and sattvic mindset.

Abhishek with honey
Offering honey increases happiness and destroys enemies from life. If you offer honey to Bhagwan Shiva, it pleases the Bhagwan. Offering honey gives you the boon of good health and long life from Bholenath.

Thandai Abhishek
The auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri is also celebrated as the wedding anniversary of Bhagwan Shiva. It is a traditional flavored milk drink with famous dry fruits and saffron which is prepared as an offering to Bhagwan Shiva to celebrate this festival. It is known as thandai, which is a cool summer drink.

Kand-mool Bhog
Kand-mool or Ram Kand Mool is a fruit that is offered to Bhagwan Shiva. According to the scriptures, it is believed that the great yogi is very fond of Kand-mool. Along with Dhatura, Thandai, white colored sweets, make sure to offer Kand-mool bhog.

Bhang Bhog (cannabis)
Bhang (cannabis) is often offered as prasad on Mahashivaratri or on regular days in major Shiva temples. In general, cannabis has a deep connection with Shiva. It is believed that during the churning of the ocean, a deadly poison named 'Halahal' emerged, which was so poisonous that it could destroy the entire creation. To avoid this from happening, Bhagwan Shiva himself consumed the entire poison and later offered bhang to the deities to soothe their pain.

Abhishek with curd
Bhagwan Shiva is bathed with curd and milk. Curd is also considered very dear to Shiva and offering it brings prosperity in one's life.

Berry(Ber) Bhog
Ber Bhog is a symbol of longevity and wish fulfillment. Ber fruit is very dear to Bhagwan Shiva, hence it is considered a sacred fruit in Hinduism. According to Vedas and Puranas, this fruit has special importance in the rituals of Mahashivaratri.
