Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Dwarkapeeth, the most prominent Sanatani religious leader of Hindus, died on Sunday 11 September at 3:30 pm. He died at Paramhansi Ganga Ashram at Jhoteshwar in Narsingpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhoomi-samadhi is given to the sages and saints of Shaiva, Nath, Dashnami, Aghor and Shakta traditions. Samadhi is given by sitting in the posture of Padmasana or Siddhi posture in Bhu-samadhi. Often this samadhi is given to saints near the samadhi of their guru or in a monastery.
Samadhi was given in the midst of Vedic chanting. The sages and saints performed the samadhi with religious rituals. Earlier, he was brought to the place of samadhi by sitting in a palanquin with bhajan kirtan. During this, thousands of his disciples, followers and devotees were present. Who gave his last farewell to his Gurudev with moist eyes. Swami Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati ji devoted his whole life to organizing the Hindus.
