Ramananda Swami adopted the Vishishtadvaita doctrine of Vaishnavism, first propounded by Ramanuja several centuries earlier.
During a visit to Srirangam in southern India in his early life, Ramananda Swami said that Ramanuja initiated him in a dream and appointed him as an Acharya in his lineage. Ramananda Swami then traveled west to Saurashtra to spread Ramanuja's philosophy. Before dying in 1858, Ramanand Swami handed over the reins of the Uddhava sect to Swaminarayan.
Ramanand Swami had powers to put his devotees into samadhi and make them see God. * Please share any of your suggestions or ideas with us.
